Did kennedy agree to remove the American missiles from turkey before the end of the Cuban missile crisis?
Q. If so, was this a detirmining factor as to why the soviets removed the missiles. Because it was a win- win? If this is true, could you say that appeasement actually did work? Although they were cautious of it at first regarding the events of Nazi German expansion during the late 1930s. ... You know I mean nuclear missiles.

A. Officially, there is no link. The USSR removed their missiles with no pre-condition. President Kennedy did not want the US missiles in Turkey anyhow, he may have removed them regardless. However, it is not difficult to imagine the US telling the USSR that if Russia removed their missles, within a certain time period the US would remove theirs.
